Ranikhet / Nainital / Corbett / Mussoorie
The Himalayan foothills at the North of Uttarakhand offers vast panoramas, delightful villages, hill stations, and mountains covered with rhododendron and teak forests. The route rises through the hills of the Kumaon region, to the wildlife reserve at Corbett, and some of India’s most dramatically located hill-stations, including Ranikhet and Kausani where the huge vistas and forested slopes inspired Mahatma Gandhi.
Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01 Delhi – Ranikhet (355 kms. / approx. 8 hours drive)
Today your tour commences from Delhi as you drive to Ranikhet where you will stay for two nights. Ranikhet with its majestic pine trees is 59.5 kms. from Nainital. According to the popular legend, once a beautiful queen camped here amidst the rustling pines and encircled by dazzling white peaks glistening in the sun, gave the town its name ‘Ranikhet’.

Day 02 In Ranikhet
This morning you could visit the Ridge, with magnificent view of the twin peaks of Nanda Devi. Later you visit the 9 hole golf course at Upat and the Government Fruit Garden and Research Station at Chaubatia.

Day 03 Ranikhet – Nainital (55 kms. / approx. 2 hours drive)
This morning you will be driven to Nainital where you will stay for two nights. Set around the 1.5 km long and 500m wide Naini Lake is the charming hill station of Nainital. In the evening take a stroll down the mall or take a boat ride across the lake.

Day 04 In Nainital
This morning you visit the Sat Tal (21 kms), which has seven lakes including the jade green Garud Tal. You may also take an excursion optional mountain biking or rock climbing.

Day 05 Nainital – Corbett (60 kms. / approx. 2 hours drive)
This morning drive to Corbett where you will stay for one night. Corbett, where Project Tiger was launched in 1973, is regarded as India’s finest national park and its major attractions are the Tiger, Indian Elephant and Leopard. In the afternoon visit the Corbett National Park and take a jeep safari which is the best way to see the jungle and wildlife (the park is open from 15th November to 15th June).

Day 06 Corbett – Mussoorie (280 kms. / approx. 7 hours drive)
This morning you drive from Corbett to Mussoorie where you will be booked for two nights. Named after the Himalayan shrub ‘mansoor’, Mussoorie is spread out over 16 kms. along a horseshoe shaped ridge overlooking the Doon Valley to the South. The rest of the day is at leisure. You could also take a stroll down the mall.

Day 07 In Mussoorie
You are free to go on an optional tour to the Kempty Falls, 15 km. from Mussoorie which is a popular picnic spot.

Day 08 Mussoorie – Delhi (282 kms. / approx. 6 hours drive)
Today you will be driven back to Delhi for your journey back home.
