Puri have drawn pilgrims in the millions. Meanwhile, holidaymakers have enjoyed
Puri’s broad sandy beaches. Over 2,000 years ago the fertile delta on which
Bhubaneshwar stands, witnessed one of
the most significant battles of India’s history when Emperor Ashoka, having
massacred his Kalingan opponents, converted to Buddhism and laid the
foundations for one of the great empires of
world history.
Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive Bhubaneshwar
Today you arrive into Bhubaneshwar where you will stay for two nights.

Day 02 In Bhubaneshwar
In the morning visit the 7th century Parasuramesvar Temple and the 10th century Muktesvara Temple and Lingaraja Temple. In the afternoon you may take an optional tour to Atri, famous for its hot sulphur springs whose temperature remains at 55C and is supposed to cure skin disorders.

Day 03 Bhubaneshwar – Puri via. Konark (60 kms. / approx. 2 hours drive)
Today drive from Bhubaneshwar to Puri, famous for the Jagannath Temple, one of the four holiest pilgrimage centers for Hindus, and also its superb beaches. Enroute visit Konark, one of the world’s wonders according to Mark Twain. It is amongst the most vivid architectural treasures of Hindu India. You will be booked to stay in Puri for three nights.

Day 04 In Puri
This morning visit the Jagannath Temple. The afternoon is free and you may visit the long stretch of golden beach, shallow enough to walk out a long distance, with superb surf.

Day 05 In Puri
This morning is at leisure. You may take a walk to the nearby fishing villages along the coast to see the fishermen set out in their colourful boats.

Day 06 Depart Puri
Today you depart Puri and drive to Bhubaneshwar for your journey back home.
