Jaipur / Khimsar / Jaisalmer / Manvar / Jodhpur

Rajasthan, the scene of some of India’s most famous battles and infamous court intrigues, has mighty forts and ornate palaces, which reveal the opulence and power of the maharajas who ruled here for centuries. Adorned with unique fresco styles and intricate miniature paintings, the Rajasthani palaces are an  enduring legacy of some of India’s most flamboyant ruling dynasties.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary


  1. Day 01 Delhi – Jaipur (260 kms. / approx. 4 to 5 hours drive)

    This morning travel from Delhi by road to Jaipur, the ‘Pink City’ dream of ruler Jai Singh where you stay for two nights. The afternoon will be free.
  2. Day 02 In Jaipur

    In the morning, ascend the ancient Rajput capital of Amber (elephant ride not included). Visit the Palace with its many intricate chambers and hallways, which overlooks breathtaking views of the Jai Mahal (Water Palace) below. Later visit the City Palace, which includes the Govind Deo Temple, the Jantar Mantar and the Maharaja’s museum with it’s collection of weaponry, miniature paintings, royal attire and jewellery. Later visit the Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, an elaborate pink sandstone façade.
  3. Day 03 Jaipur – Khimsar (287 kms. / approx. 7 hours drive)

    Today morning drive to Khimsar (appox. 6 - 7 hrs. drive) where you stay for two nights. The afternoon is free.
  4. Day 04 In Khimsar

    This morning, visit the 15th century Rajput fort built by Karam Singh where Aurangzeb is believed to have stayed. The rest of the day will be at leisure.
  5. Day 05 Khimsar – Jaisalmer (350 kms. / approx. 7 to 8 hours drive)

    Today you will be driven to Jaisalmer, the westernmost town in Rajasthan where you will stay for two nights. The rest of the day is at leisure.
  6. Day 06 In Jaisalmer

    Visit the honey colored fort that emerges from the flat dry desert sands and enjoy a walk through the maze of narrow streets hemmed by ornately decorated havelis. The rest of the day is free and you may take an optional camel ride by the sand.
  7. Day 07 Jaisalmer – Manvar (190 kms. / approx. 3 hours drive)

    Today you drive to Manvar Resort, an ethnic Indian desert resort which is just 4 kms. away from the beautiful sand dunes, where you will stay for one night. After lunch at the resort you will be taken on a village safari by jeep and see how the local tribes still use traditional methods for making tools and clothes.
  8. Day 08 Manvar – Jodhpur (110 kms. / approx. 2 hours drive)

    Today you will be driven to Jodhpur and proceed to your hotel. In the afternoon visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, which offers spectacular vistas of the blue-hued city.
  9. Day 09 Depart Jodhpur

    Today you will drive back home or you may extend your trip and visit Udaipur.
